From a Father to his son.
Jason Storms’ parents divorced before he turned one years old, he was raised by his single Mother who resided in California, and his Grandparents who lived in New York. During his senior year of High School, Jason’s Mother kicked him out and he found himself a lost, broken, homeless young man in need of direction for his life. Soon after Jason decided to move to Louisiana with his Father.
Jason realized that he had allowed sin to take control of his life and he fell to the feet of Christ, his Father urged Jason to give the weight of his sin, shame, and guilt to Jesus and be washed by His blood. Feeling the power of the Holy Spirit, Jason repented (turned away from) of his sin, confessed with his mouth, and believed in his heart that Jesus was Lord and was saved by the grace of God!
Soon after being saved, Jason Storms was hired by a flooring company in New Orleans, Louisiana. He started off as a low-earning “grunt worker”, but worked his way up the chain of command very quickly. After a year with the company, Jason was one of their lead foreman, and he led crews throughout the south! After two years, Jason hung up his flooring cap and moved on to where God was leading Him next. Jason hit the road sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ all across the nation with his best friend for two years! To make a long story short, Jason met his future wife on the road in the great state of Wisconsin. After getting married, Jason and his bride settled down in Wisconsin and that’s where he started “Storms Hardwoods” as a Sole Proprietorship.
He ran Storms Hardwoods for eighteen years and had two flooring crews working full-time! After eighteen years of successful, high-quality flooring work and MANY satisfied customers, Jason felt the call of God in His life again. Jason hung up his flooring cap for the second time to serve in full-time ministry, committed to advancing the Kingdom of Jesus Christ on this Earth.
So, what happened to Storms Hardwoods? Well, that’s where I come into the picture (Hi! I’m Jason’s oldest son, Jonathan Storms). My Father took me with him to flooring projects ever since I could walk. He taught me hard work, craftsmanship, leadership, and the “tricks of the trade” from a young age. At age thirteen, I started working part-time for Storms Hardwoods. At sixteen, I graduated early and became one of my Father's lead foremen and led a crew for years. When my father stepped away from the company he graciously passed his company, heritage, reputation, and twenty two years of flooring experience off to me.
I now run the business and carry on the same name. Storms Hardwoods seeks to do top-notch work in a timely manner for fair prices. We value the satisfaction of our customers above all else and we seek to do everything “with all of our heart, as working for the Lord”.
